My first blog - day 3 - It's time for a giveaway!

It's day 3 of my blog already and it's time for a giveaway, don't you think? Plus, I'd like to introduce my online store, Possum Blossom Patchwork.

I make die-cut paper pieces for English paper piecing. You know, hexagons, triangles, diamonds and the like. I make them from paper, card, freezer paper, whatever you like. Die-cut paper pieces are a cost-effective and time-saving option.

I also have an electronic cutter which allows me to custom-make any shape in any size, so if you don't see what you need in my store, just email me and ask.

I'm located in Sydney, Australia but international orders are no problem at all. If you prefer to order through Ebay or Etsy, I can handle that too.

That's enough about me, let's get to the giveaway. I'm not exactly sure if there's a right way to do this so I'm going to keep it simple.

Basically, each night for the next 10 nights starting tomorrow night (28/07/11 Sydney time) I'll draw a name. Each winner can select any two packs of die-cut or e-cut paper pieces or card pieces from my store (100 pieces per pack, you choose the shape/size). Open to everyone including international. Free shipping included.

1. Visit my online store and have a look around.
2. Post a comment on this blog saying which two shapes/sizes you'd like to win (either a pack each of 2 items, or 2 packs of one item).
3. For an additional entry, post a separate comment telling me which shape/size you'd like me to make and add to my store. (Be creative! Set me a challenge!)
4. And if you want to follow my blog, mention that too for a third entry.

Names/comments will be placed in a box and one will be drawn at random each night. Non-winning names will remain in the box until the end of the giveaway, so if you write a comment before the first draw that means you'll get 10 chances to win. Or 20 chances. Or 30 chances.

Oh, and remember to tell me how to contact you. If I can't contact you, I'll draw another name at the end of the giveaway.

Good luck!

P.S. Is there anything I've forgotten to mention? If so, email me.

  1. Welcome to blogland Joanne! I have been lucky to receive your hexie papers in the hexie swap. It's great that you make them in freezer paper too, hadn't seen that before. If I had to chose papers, would have to be hexies, but I wouldn't mind trying triangles?

    ReplyDelete
  2. My suggestion for another shape would be dresden plate wedges> I don't think I saw them on your site.

  3. Hi Joanne, I really like the paper hexie shapes, I think they are 1"? Very handy for the hexie flower swap:) I thought I would like the card better but I found that I liked the paper ones.
Congratulations on your new blog- here's to many posts and lots of fun. Hugs, Sandy.

  6. I'm not so sure about curved templates, Joanne, would something like drunkards path or winding ways work as a paper pieced design? Otherwise, apple core or tumbler?

    ReplyDelete

  9. I feel so slack! Nearly two years of blogging and no giveaway and here you are at 3 posts!!
Now what shapes would I like?
1/2" hexagons! I made a few of those the other week and I love that size
and then I'd probably say triangles because I want to have a play with triangles and hexagons (already got some 1" hexagon papers).

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hi Bek, nice to hear from you. What a coincidence, I just started making 1" and 2" octagons last week! I just haven't put the ads on the website yet. And I can custom-make dresdens when you need them.

    ReplyDelete

  54. I would probably get the diamonds but I would need to verify if they are right for lone stars. I need the trapezoid type I think. I am having a love affair with Lone stars right now.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Why, add 8 point (trapezoid) diamonds if you don't have them. ( I am new to EPP and am still trying to figure out the whole correct diamond to use thing.) Then next you need to add dresdens.

  81. As far as an idea for something to add, I would suggest you add combination packs. It would be easy to do, you already have the shapes and sizes you have, adding the ability for a customer to choose a half pack (50 pcs) of one shape and a half pack (50 pcs) of another. You could call them "Sampler Packs".

Again, Thanks for the chance to win!
